A pre-move-in inspection is your last structured chance to catch defects before furniture arrives and soft periods close across Dubai and the UAE.
Apartment move-in checklist
Focus on wet areas (kitchens and bathrooms), AC performance, electrics, doors and windows, tiling and paint, and balcony waterproofing interfaces. Confirm previously reported snags were actually fixed after developer rectification.
Villa and townhouse extras
Add exterior paint or cladding where accessible, outdoor fixtures, and roof or terrace interfaces that often show incomplete work at handover. Outdoor defects are easy to miss once landscaping and furniture arrive.
